Our Family
Mary Piscini
Roots of Tradition
Mary Piscini began her journey in Caino with Giuseppe Piscini, where she led the kitchen at Miramonti in Caino. Her cuisine, rooted in Brescia tradition yet innovative, was awarded a Michelin star in the 1960s.
She later followed her son Mauro to Concesio to open Miramonti l’Altro and laid the restaurant’s historic foundation. Some of her dishes remain among the most popular even today.
Philippe Léveillé
A Cuisine Between Two Worlds
French by birth, Italian by choice, Philippe Léveillé arrived at Miramonti l’Altro in the 1990s.
Born in Nantes in 1963, he trained at the Hotel Institute of Saumur and worked in restaurants in Paris, New York, Martinique, and Monte Carlo. In Italy, he found a deeply inspiring context: a concrete and rich land, capable of dialoguing with his French training.
His is a cuisine of synthesis and freedom: blending technique and creativity, memory and openness. He interprets the territory with a personal approach, without nostalgia or force, opening the way to a new era.
With him, Miramonti l’Altro strengthened its two-star identity and established itself as a pillar of contemporary cuisine.
Stefano Piscini
Hospitality and New Perspectives
Son of Mauro, Stefano Piscini represents the new generation at Miramonti l’Altro. After training and working alongside the family, he now oversees event organization, carrying on the family approach with an eye to the future.
Stefano manages every detail with precision and care, enhancing the gastronomic offer beyond just the dining experience. Weddings, business dinners, celebrations: every occasion is tailored, balancing elegance with warmth.
His contribution enriches the identity of Miramonti l’Altro, extending its experience beyond daily dining, with coherence and style.
Daniela Piscini
Hospitality and Restraint
Daniela Piscini grew up in the family environment of Miramonti, joining her brother Mauro in building the restaurant in Concesio. Over time, she took on an increasingly central role in managing the dining room, eventually becoming its undisputed point of reference.
Her style combines precision and warmth: every movement is measured, every attention considered. The welcome is never intrusive, but constant and caring. Named Maître of the Year by L’Espresso in 2021, Daniela has brought to the dining room the same care that the kitchen dedicates to the dishes, helping define the identity of Miramonti l’Altro as a place of complete experience, made of taste, listening, and relationships.
Mauro Piscini
Vision and Continuity
Raised in the crucible of Miramonti in Caino, Mauro Piscini grew up gastronomically there. He envisioned a new phase, recognizing the close culinary affinity between the Brescia valleys and regions beyond the Alps.
With his mother Mary, he opened Miramonti l’Altro in Concesio and guided the project toward a solid and recognizable identity, winning first one and then a second Michelin star.
Mauro is both the guiding figure and the leader who builds the right team to pursue his path. Many collaborators have played key roles, but two names stand out: his sister Daniela, now maître de salle, and Philippe Léveillé, the current chef.
His vision has elevated the taste of tradition, broadening its horizons internationally, while always remaining true to its roots.
